Welcome and thank you for your interest in St. Mary's Academy!
The admissions process is completely online through our FACTS Student Information System and involves two parts: (1) Application and (2) Enrollment. Note the differences in the process below for new Academy families versus current Academy families and for new students versus returning students.
This step only applies to new Academy families, not current Academy families. If you are already an Academy family, skip this step.
If you are completely new to St. Mary's Academy (no children currently or recently enrolled), begin by first creating an application account. This account will allow you to securely login to submit an application. If you have been an Academy family in the past, use your old login. If you can't remember the login credentials or there is an error, contact the Academy Registrar for assistance (see below).
Upon account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link that will validate your email address.
This step only applies to new students, not returning students from last year.
If you just created an application account above and your email address has been verified, log into your application account to create and submit a new student application for your child. You can log into and out of your account as needed, and your application will be saved. If instead you skipped the step above (meaning you are already an Academy family but need to apply for another child), just log into your FACTS Family Portal where you will see a link to submit a new student application.
The deadline for submitting new student applications is Sunday, June 30 at 11:59 pm.
A $30 application fee will apply for applications submitted after our fee waiver period. The fee waiver period ended at 11:59 pm on March 14.
Once your application has been received and reviewed, we will be in touch with an offer of enrollment. Enrollment is into a specific grade (K - 12). Students can enter the Academy at any grade level, but Placement Tests are required for all new 2nd - 12th graders to determine academic preparedness for that grade. No Placement Tests are needed for Kindergarten or 1st grades, and students may elect to skip Kindergarten and go directly into 1st grade. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on September 1 of the year of enrollment.
Enrollment of both new and returning students is handled by logging into your FACTS Family Portal, where you will see a link to enroll students. Enrollment for returning students starts Wednesday, March 20. Enrollment for new students is pending application review and will be available soon.
A $15 enrollment fee will apply for each returning student enrollment submitted after our fee waiver period. This fee is per student. The fee waiver period will end at 11:59 pm on April 29.
The deadline for applying for financial aid is April 30, 2024.
NB: Whenever logging into your FACTS Family Portal to complete applications or enrollments, always use a parent's login not a student's, since student logins do not allow submission of applications and enrollments. And just so you know, the major portion of the fees listed above are imposed by FACTS (the company) not SMA. In fact, when we waive these fees, we are actually paying them to FACTS for you.
The Academy Offices will be closed July 8 - July 21, inclusive.
